A website revamp for Graduate Fashion Foundation
The Graduate Fashion Foundation serves as a charitable organisation, acting as a vital platform for emerging talent, bridging the gap between education and meaningful employment opportunities.
The charity was looking to create an online resource hub, called “Fashion Futures Hub”, as well as for a home page revamp to increase retention.
The Brief
Previous Homepage:
- The previous home lacked legibility as some photos used were too bright and too detailed.
- The menu was constructed with poor and overwhelming navigation
- Lacks playfulness and fashion quirkiness which is not very attractive for the audience.
Proposed changes
- A hero which consists of multiple images so that the user can now easily see a range of GFF activities as well as support they offer. Images can also be used as links.
- The menu has been grouped, as to overwhelm the user less and make it easier to navigate
- The style of the make over is less serious while remaining “fresh”.

The Aim
The Fashion Futures Hub:
- The aim is to provide a wealth of resources for those considering fashion education to ensure access to materials are available to everyone, everywhere.
- This area of the website is aimed at 14-18 year olds.
- The area is supposed to be fun, educational, inspirational and aspirational.
Design System
- The font is changed from tall to bold and stretched. This creates a sense of playfulness and does a good job at fitting in well with graphic elements which were given to me by the charity.
- The Hub has its own set of colours to create a division between the main site and “the hub”.
- The logo is animated, or when animation is unavailable can be used with different colours. This again is to create a modern, playful feeling.
